Georges DeFeure designed this poster for the fifth exhibition at the Salon de Cent in Paris. The Salon was known for its exhibitions showcasing the works of contemporary graphic artists. DeFeure's stylish young redhead dressed in shades of brown and mauve provokes our curiosity. She holds a rose, as she stares off into the distance, contemplating. Only our imagination can predict what she is thinking. DeFeure exerted a considerable influence on the development of the Art Nouveau poster as displayed in this piece.
